how the earth and sun were created

Planet earth was formed about 4.6 billion years ago. The earth didn't just appear out of thin space, it took billions of years for it to resemble what it is today. Earth formed from a giant cloud of rock and dust that was trillions of miles wide, as did all of the other planets. This cloud of dust and rock was orbiting around the sun due to the gravitational pull. Bigger rocks took in smaller rocks and even bigger rocks took in those rocks making a massive ball of rock and dust. After a while, the ball was big enough to resemble a planet.
In it's early days, the earth was bombarded with meteors and comets almost constantly and the extreme heat melted the rock. There were constant lightning storms and volcaninc eruptions which superheated the rocks melting them into liquid. This melted rock is what the core of the earth is made of. It is believed that a giant comet/meteor slammed into the earth knocking a chunk of rock into space which orbits the earth to this day known as the moon. After millions of years the earth cooled and formed into Pangaea and all of the other super land masses until it shaped itself into what it is today.

  1. THE SUN
The Sun was basically formed by a bunch of gases and dust, mainly hydrogen, fused together and created an immense star.

Gravity is the force that pulls all mass toward itself. It is a very weak force, but it goes on forever.

About 5 to 6 billion years ago, a cloud of space gas probably received some sort of a shock; possibly the shock wave of a nearby supernova explosion. The gas cloud - mostly hydrogen - had probably been swirling around slowly in space as it orbited the center of the galaxy, but the shock wave caused it to begin to collapse.

As gasses fall together, they compress and heat up. Most of the mass fell to the center of the spiral, and at some point the heat and pressure of the hydrogen suddenly caused the hydrogen atoms to fuse into helium. That was it; the ignition of the Sun. It has been going ever since, about 4.5 billion years now.
