whats the difference?
the difference between a star a planet and a satellite is that a star gives off light and is made of gasses like hydrogen. the sun gives off light by creating photons, created by atoms colliding and fusing two or three atoms together and creating one photon wich we would see as light." how do these atoms collide, just out of random?" no these atoms collide because of the dense gasses clumping into small groups and bumping together, if you have ever been to las vegas it would be that dense exept the atoms are moving at thousands of miles an hour. "well doesent the moon shine" no, it doesent. the moon only reflects light, not make it, the moon is pure dust and rock, there is no gasses or thousand mile atoms or photons just dust. but the moon creats this effect of light because of its reflective surface that can reflect light. the earth does the same, but we are not dust earth has water and life and it still reflects light by the water and the light hitting the earth.
